Ian Griffiths is a prominent property and estate planning lawyer. Ian was admitted to practise as a lawyer in 1974 and has over 25 years of experience in property and associated areas.

Ian's clients include many of the Sunshine Coast's leading developers. His experience has seen him undertake significant commercial property matters including acquisitions, joint venture developments, unit and land subdivisions and commercial and retail leasing.

Ian is also an integral member of the Mooloolaba Yacht Club and has a passion for all things boating.

Alan Parry

Alan Parry is a 4th generation member of the Parry family, who originally settled in Buderim in 1888, so it goes without saying that the "Sunshine Coast" is in his blood, and he is here to stay.

Educated at the Caloundra primary and secondary schools, Alan was admitted as a lawyer in 1979, and has been practising law on the Sunshine Coast for more than twenty (20) years. In 1995 he was also admitted as a Notary Public.

After some 19 years at the firm's Caloundra office, Alan relocated to the now Maroochydore office in late 1999, and acts for many leading business identities on the Coast.

Alan has an extensive commercial law practise, dealing principally in the areas of commercial conveyancing/development, small business transactions including retail and commercial leasing, liquor licensing, employment law, as well as superior court commercial litigation.

His wife Faye, has for a similar period of time, conducted the Sunshine Coast's leading Model Agency and School of Deportment in Maroochydore, known as "The Faye Rolph Academy", and they have 3 children.

In his leisure time, Alan can be found either on the golf course or east of Mooloolaba Harbour wetting a line.

While he is the resident principal of our Maroochydore office, he will happily visit our Caloundra office, by appointment, to consult with clients.

Kim Christie

Kim Christie is well known, particularly in the areas of small business in Caloundra and management rights and body corporate law on the Sunshine Coast. He has worked hard to gain particular expertise in the management rights area and has represented many buyers and sellers of management rights and bodies corporate preparing new community management statements and caretaking and letting agreements.

Kim also has particular love of property and small business. This is manifested in his presidency of the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce.

Kim was admitted to practise as a lawyer in Victoria in 1977 and in Queensland in 1988. His association with Griffiths Parry also began in 1988.

A keen sportsman, Kim has worked tirelessly for local sports clubs with a particular passion for golf and cricket.

Paul was admitted to practise in New South Wales in 1999 and in Queensland in 2002 but has worked in general legal practise in both jurisdictions for in excess of seven years.

Since relocating to Queensland in 2002, Paul has focused on Commercial Law, specialising in Business Conveyancing, Commercial and Retail Shop Leasing, Franchise Law and Real Property Conveyancing.

When not in the office, Paul enjoys surfing, running and chasing fish in Bribie Passage.

Paul believes strongly in delivering timely, accurate and cost effective legal solutions to his clients and prides himself on his ability to provide plain english translations of legal "mumbo jumbo." Accessible,
down to earth and commercially realistic, Paul has built a strong client base in his short time on the Sunshine Coast.

Paul was admitted to practise as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand in 1995. He has practised law in both Australia and New Zealand and has worked in large law firms and as a legal counsel for listed companies. He has also been a law lecturer, lecturing in corporate and finance law, intellectual property law, trusts, wills and estates law.

Paul adopts a commercial solution orientated approach in his dealings with clients. Paul focuses on his client's commercial objectives to deliver legal advice in a pragmatic, cost effective and timely manner. He has a particular expertise and significant experience in information technology and intellectual property and holds a Master of Commercial Laws in these areas. He enjoys assisting business to implement strategies to capture and harvest their intellectual property. Paul also has experience and expertise in planning and environmental law and infrastructure agreements.

Paul and his family have been attracted to the Sunshine Coast through its climate and lifestyle opportunities and Paul describes his greatest challenge to date as raising his young son.

Tracy's areas of practice

Tracy was admitted to practice in Queensland in 2000 and commenced practice in the property division of a medium sized Brisbane city firm.

Following her admission to the Surpreme Court of Queensland Tracy spent several years travelling overseas in Europe and America. Upon her return to Australia Tracy's love for the Sunshine Coast and its laid-back lifestyle soon saw her relocate here permanently.

Since joining Griffiths Parry in September 2005 Tracy has worked in the firm's litigation division specializing in Family Law matters.

Tracy enjoys the client contact that her family law role provides. Her goal is to provide her clients with practical, down to earth advice tailored to each individual situation.

When not at work Tracy enjoys running,playing netball and surfing. On weekends she can often be found at the beach in Alex enjoying the laid-back lifestyle of the coast.
