Tammy Dickson
Associate
Tammy Dickson has been with Griffiths Parry Lawyers & Notary since 2005, most of that time as a paralegal in the Business and Property department under Director Paul Davis. Close to two decades in a single firm, in a single practice area, produces a particular kind of knowledge. Commercial Law and business transactions generate depth over time. The deals compound. The patterns emerge. The person who has seen enough of them knows where to look before anyone asks, and knows which details will matter at which point in a matter before the matter reaches that point.
Alongside that work, Tammy pursued and completed a law degree: a five-year commitment sustained in parallel with a full working week, semester by semester, across years. That kind of sustained discipline does not just happen. It is chosen, and re-chosen. It carried her through her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and to admission, and she now practises as a Lawyer with the firm.
Since her admission, Tammy has been building her practice in Wills and Estates: estate planning, Estate administration and Applications for Probate, alongside commercial and industrial conveyancing and commercial and retail leasing. The paralegal who knew the work from the inside and then built the formal legal framework around that knowledge arrives at an understanding that neither the degree alone nor the practice alone could produce. Both, together, over time. That is what Tammy now brings to her own clients.

She loves cats, she will tell you, for their sassy attitudes and their complete conviction that they are above everyone else. She finds this endearing, which says something. Tammy has been in commercial practice long enough to have strong views, good instincts, and a wry affection for creatures who do not apologise for either.
